Gondogoro La is a spectacular mountain pass in the Ghanche District of Gilgit-Baltistan. At approximately 5,585 metres above sea level, it connects the upper Baltoro Glacier region near Concordia with Hushe Valley. The crossing is famous for its sweeping views of the Karakoram, including some of the region’s most striking high peaks. District Tours
The Gondogoro La trek is often included in the greater Baltoro and K2 Base Camp journey. After travelling through Skardu and Shigar to Askole, trekkers follow the Baltoro route towards Concordia. From there, the trail crosses the pass and descends towards Hushe Valley. This route offers an extraordinary progression of scenery, from vast glaciers and rocky moraines to steep mountain slopes and the greener landscapes near Hushe.
Reaching the pass is a major highlight for experienced trekkers. From high on the route, the surrounding Karakoram peaks create a dramatic panorama, while the glacier valleys stretch far below. The descent towards Hushe brings a different perspective on the region, with views of glaciers, mountain villages and peaks such as Masherbrum. Hushe itself is a well-known starting point for other trekking and mountaineering routes. e-tourism.visitgilgitbaltistan.gov.pk
